Walk the Talk Therapy
Walk-and-talk sessions offer a unique approach to mental health support, allowing you to engage in therapy while enjoying the benefits of being outdoors and moving your body. Whether you prefer individual sessions, want to bring a partner, or have a small group that could benefit from our services, I am here to support you. All ages and fitness levels are welcome.
Research has shown that spending time in nature can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, while physical activity can boost mood and improve overall well-being. By incorporating walking into therapy sessions, you can experience a sense of calmness, increased focus, and a deeper connection with both your surroundings and yourself.
Say goodbye to the traditional therapy couch and discover the many advantages of walk and talk therapy.
Meet the Therapist
Kelly M. Bossard, LCSW, CCTP
Welcome! I’m a therapist and a neighbor—someone who believes that healing doesn’t have to be confined to four walls. I’m passionate about bringing solid, effective therapy into the open air, where conversations can unfold naturally as we walk.
I’ve seen how the simple rhythm of walking side‑by‑side can make it easier to open up, think clearly, and breathe a little deeper. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space that moves with you—literally—so you can explore what matters most, build resilience, and feel more grounded.

We will agree on a meeting place prior to our appointment. Typically, Walk the Talk sessions take place at Central Park of Morris County in Parsippany/Morris Plains. (There are parking and bathroom facilities on-site.)
However, the great thing about this type of therapy is it is mobile! If you prefer, and schedule permitting, we can meet in your own neighborhood!

Absolutely not! This is strolling at a comfortable pace with frequent breaks to reflect. The terrain is mostly flat. Of course, getting your steps in while in therapy is a win-win, right?
-
In the event of extreme temperatures or precipitation, we can move our walk indoors to a nearby mall, meet virtually on-line, or reschedule. Simple.
-
Wear comfortable walking shoes (sneakers are fine) and clothes appropriate for the weather. The terrain is a mix of pavement, gravel, and dirt.
Bring water and a towel, if you want something to sit on while we're resting or cooling down.
-
Sure! As long as dogs are allowed where we agree to meet. No additional charge for furry companions!
